Travelling long and then going for a toothsome meal gives you a different level of satisfaction.
Location & Intro:
I had been to Sher-E-Punjab Kolaghat with my family (Ma and Pa) few weeks back. It is located in Kolaghat Area when you’re heading from Kolkata to Kharagpur/Medinipur. We went for a drive as we all were looking for some sorta refreshment while moving out of the house. Nonetheless, it takes around 2 hours (Due to Traffic, Jam etc.) to reach here. If you’re looking for some good traveling and amazing punjabi food to satiate your belly, this is the right place for you. Sher-E-Punjab has got a dhaba wala feeling when you sit outside on Charpai.
Charpai can be commonly seen in household on Punjab where you can laze around and do gossip (hor ki haal, hor das etc etc). Here, the charpai is used to sit and the food is served here. People who like the outdoor seating area near the highway can definitely sit here. People who fag have got their mood set up in the outdoor seating area too. They even have an indoor seating area and a bar section. We sat at the Indoor AC section.
Nonetheless, i went with my family and guess what? I sat inside as you know the reason already. Haha.
This is not in Zomato and hence, i thought of blogging about it as i can’t tag it or review it on Zomato and also because it was an experience to revere.
Can you see those Charpai’s there?

What i tried:
Chatpata Paneer Tikka – The Paneer Tikka was lipsmacking delicious and tasted great. It had the right amount of cream on it.
Chicken Lasuni Kebab – The Lasuni kebab was really out of the world. It’s a must try for all the tangdi kebab lovers.
Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala – After having the starters, we shifted to main course. The Reshmi Butter Masala was great to taste. The chicken chunks were in abundance and quite succulent.
Navratan Korma – It tasted really good. It’s a must try especially if you’re a vegetarian.
Plain Tarka – The plain tarka is the simple kali dal tadka. It tasted really good and is not to miss here.
Tandoori Roti – The roti’s were just fine and going hand in hand with the side dishes.
Special Chai – The chai was excellent. At INR 22, i don’t expect more from them.
Price for two: 500-700 approximate (Prices are subject to change due to macroeconomic factors such as inflation, etc.)
Pros:
• Decent ambiance.
• Quick service.
• Amazing food served absolutely smoky hot.
• Reasonably priced.
Conclusion:
Sher-e-Punjab Kolaghat’s food was exceptionally good. I had a great time eating here. I am definitely gonna try to come sometime in future with my friends here.
